This short live session introduces the National Alliance for School Attendance (NAfSA) and the membership website you will use day to day.
NAfSA is a sector-led platform for UK attendance professionals — built around statutory guidance, practical tools, and peer community, not generic software. In 30 minutes you will see what membership includes, how the site is organised for school, local authority, and trust roles, and where to go first after you sign in.
We will walk through the member dashboard, the main hubs (Support-First, Compliance, Strategic Leadership, Resources, Forum, Ask an Expert, Events, and Marketplace), and how professional development (bookings, materials, certificates, and evaluations) fits in. You will also hear what NAfSA is — and is not — for example: guidance and documentation alongside your MIS and LA systems, not a replacement for pupil-level case management.
There will be time for questions. By the end you should know how to find the right tool, stay within safeguarding expectations on community areas, and take your next steps as an active member.
