Security overview
Factual overview of NAfSA’s technical security posture. We do not claim third-party certifications (such as ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials) unless separately documented and provided on request.
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all connections to the platform.
- Authentication via Clerk with role-based membership access (Community vs Professional).
- Core member data stored in Neon PostgreSQL (EU-West region).
- Some sub-processors are US-headquartered — UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses are used where personal data is transferred internationally (see Privacy Policy).
- Compliance Hub tools are designed for client-side pupil data where applicable — case data is not uploaded to NAfSA servers for those tools.
- Forum and expert Q&A are not intended for identifiable pupil data (safeguarding).
- Supabase Storage for file uploads with access controls on member-uploaded resources.

Professional membership tiers are shown below at current annual prices. Every new account receives a 7-day Professional trial, then free Community membership if no paid licence is taken.
